The District Wellness Committee meets on the 4th Thursday of every month, unless the district is on holiday that day.
The committee meets from 3:30 to 4:30 at the Central Kitchen which is located at
600 E. Central Ave.
The next meeting is
scheduled for Thursday, September 23rd. Please come if you are interested in serving on this committee. We are a diverse
group of educators, coaches, administrators, board members, students, parents, food service personnel/dietitians, classified

Lompoc Unified School District is exploring the idea of a Two-Way Dual Immersion program for the 2011/2012 school year. The plan begins in Kindergarten/First Grade and builds up to Sixth Grade.
Information will be presented on how this approach:
- Develops solid levels of literacy in both English and Spanish
- Creates an environment for high levels of achievement in all academic and social areas
- Ensures success through high academic and behavior expectations
- Cultivates an appreciation and understanding of other cultures
- Welcomes the contributions and participation of parents
